Wireless Systems and Signal Processing Group

Wireless systems and signal processing group is a team of researchers and experts that have a multifaceted experience in wireless communications (including wireless optics), sensing, advanced signal processing, and machine learning. With more than 48 major research, industry, and defence projects on the topics of mmWave satellite communications, cognitive radios for satellites, THz communications, wireless optical communications, synthetic aperture radar, localization, wireless IoT networks, and spectrum modelling. The group has supervised more than 59 PhD student towards completions and has more than 47 current PhD supervisions. The team is primarily based at RMIT University (Melbourne Australia) with strong national and International collaboration.

The aim of the group is to promote research excellence and mutual industry collaboration that positively and sustainably benefits the society. The group emphasis on supporting national industry, defence, government, and the wider research / scientific community through local and international collaborations. The research domain of the group involves a large spectrum of technology readiness levels from fundamental research, applied research, to prototyping towards product translation.
